Abstract 
Gas Service Area

Purpose 
The Gas Service Area layer covers Prince George's County, MD and represents the boundaries of Gas & Electric Service areas. The boundary for BGE was derived from a BGE ADC book and captured at a scale of 1:20,000. The Washington Gas (WASHGAS) and SMECO boundaries are derived from the Electric Service Area boundaries provided by the service providers. The Gas Service Layer is to be used for reference purposes only. No legal or policy decision should be made on the basis of the represented boundaries.
