ARCDBA.Rail_Transit_Line

This layer shows the location of all fixed passenger rail transit lines throughout Prince George's County, Maryland. Features for this layer were created as centerlines from, where applicable, the two rail centerline features from the 2009 Planimetric update data that were identified as providing service for a particular route, based on Amtrak, MTA, and WMATA websites. The source data was created for mapping at a a scale of 1:1200. The feature for the Purple Line Light Rail feature was created from MTA's Locally Preferred Alternative map available online at http://www.purplelinemd.com/maps-graphics. The source map for the Purple Line feature was created at an appoximate scale of 1:45000.

To display the generalized lines for each of the Amtrak, Light Rail, MARC, and Metro train routes within Prince George's County, Maryland.
